Intuvo 9000 GC System
Agilent Technologies GC System
The New Agilent Intuvo 9000 GC system transforms the way users perform GC, opening new paths to higher productivity and better business outcomes. Building on Agilent's legacy of
robustness and performance, Intuvo introduces key enabling technologies that lift existing operational limitations, delivering simplified operation, reduced operating costs, and
increased instrument up-time.
Metrohm Webinar: Innovative Titration for Competitive Refining Operations
With guest speaker Erin Quinley, Chevron Refining
Refineries and petrochemical processing plants rely on innovation to remain competitive and profitable. Any improvements that analyze samples faster, with increased accuracy and at a
lower cost drives the ROI and fuels the adoption of the technique. Attend this webinar to hear how Erin Quinley discusses the evaluation and implementation of ASTM Standard D8045.
Determiniation of hexavalent chromium
Metrohm application note
The EPA's new federal mandate, in addition to growing public concern over Cr (6), is now persuading municipal water systems to monitor Cr+6 down to sub-parts-per billion (ppb) levels.
Use of ion chromatography coupled with post column reaction and UV detection is demonstrated according to EPA 218.7.
Agilent has developed a new method for detecting impurities in petrochemical products
Petroleum is critically important to our daily lives. In addition to fueling our vehicles and machinery, is used to create everything from vitamin capsules to golf balls to clothing.
Agilent has developed a new solution that can be used to monitor impurities during olefin production. Agilent’s new Arsine Phosphine GC/MS analyzer provides single-digit ppb
(parts per billion) detection for arsine, phosphine and other contaminants in ethylene and propylene. The excellent detection limits achieved with the analyzer enable producers to
closely monitor impurities, maximize catalyst lifetime and minimize unplanned shut downs.
Agilent Italy, Vacuum without the oil
Roberto Cerruti makes the case for oil-free scroll pumps as an upgrade to gas chromotography mass-spectrometry systems
A crucial – yet often overlooked – component of gas-chromatography mass-spectrometry (GC/MS) systems is the vacuum apparatus. Without a reliable vacuum system, this analytical
workhorse, which is used in everything from drug testing to environmental analysis, will not perform effectively.
Simply put, GC/MS involves ionizing and then accelerating samples before expanding them in a vacuum, where they are filtered by a quadrupole – a sophisticated electrical device that
lies at the heart of the instrument. Once its four conductive rods are supplied with the proper combination of DC and radio-frequency (RF) inputs, the unit becomes a selective ion
filter.
Spectroscopy Solutions Division
Agilent introduced three new products during the year
5110 ICP-OES: New Atomic Spectroscopy Platform for Multiple Analytical Applications
Instrument Delivers Greater Speed and Precision Than Any Other ICP-OES System. Also, a new addition was introduced to its lineup of inductively coupled plasma-optical emission
spectrometers.
8900 ICP-MSMS Second Generation: Introduced at ASMS American Society for Mass Spectrometry 2016
The new second generation 8900 ICP-QQQ offers a range of configurations to cover applications from routine contract analysis to advanced research and high-performance materials
analysis.
4210 MP-AES: Lowers the Cost of Multi-Element Analysis
Agilent 4210 microwave plasma-atomic emission spectrometer runs on air rather than flammable gas - a unique feature to Agilent MP-AES systems making it both safer and less expensive
to operate. This is used for laboratories in the food, agriculture, petrochemical, environmental and mining industries.
